This will probably be approx 1 year from now, but I've been pondering what to do with the car seat situation (and how much $ I'm going to have to save up!). I have a 2 year old who's 33 lbs right now and a LO due in early October. We have the following seats (all with manufacture dates of late '07):<br><br>
1 Chicco Keyfit 30 (with 2 bases)--LO will use this for approx 6 months and then will go RF in a convertible of some sort<br>
2 Britax Marathons<br><br>
I moved her FF in a Britax at 18 months, but in hindsight I should have not given in to DH's desire to turn her around. The the new LO RF for longer--hopefully until 2 or later.<br><br>
We don't like to play musical carseats and want whatever seat/s come next to last as long as possible. Should I get the 45 + RF Sunshine seats eventually for the new LO? Does something else make sense? I was also looking at the Britax Frontier that are 5 pt harness until 85 lbs and then a booster seat after that. What will get us the farthest?<br><br>

If your looking for a convertible for the new one, if a radian will fit thats what I'd get. If not, personally, I love my evenflo triumph advance, and am OK with the complete air (though, tbh, its in DH's car and all I've done with it really is install it and mess with it in his car for a few minutes & in the store previous to buying it...)

I would put the 2yr old back rf. 3 years is my personal *minimum* for rf. I hope ds will rf to 4 or older. I would get a 45lb radian and put the 2yr old in it for now then go from there.<br><br>
