I want to start an e-store selling a few AP items that I adore, but I'm having trouble getting a response from manufacturers about selling their product. So my question is this: do I set-up a business first, THEN get the inventory, or get the inventory first then set-up the business? What did you mammas do?

Most places will require that you have a storefront/webpage before they'll sell anything to you.

And that includes your DBA and all of your necessary resale tax permit paperwork or they can't offer you wholesale. It's really easy to do though!

Yep, and I might add, if you're not getting in touch with wholesalers via email, give them a call on the phone. Sometimes it gets busy or email glitches or whatever, but it's generally worth a phone call.
