For the past couple of days, I have been feeling something that feels like low menstrual cramps. Like a cramping and then a release. Only a couple here and there and nothing rythmic (I hope not! I'm only 18w). Is that a BH?

I never felt anything like a BH with my last pregnancy and when I was in labor, all I ever felt was back pain. I never felt anything that seems like it was in my uterus, so this is like a whole new world for me.

For me BHCs are like a stretching, usually at the top of my belly, at first it would feel like the baby was pressing his bum against my belly. It could be things just shifting around for you rather than BHCs. Good luck.

I got contrax 15 min apart for like three days. Midwife said it was probably a bladder infection irritating the uterus. I took a regimin of 2000 mg vitamin C, 3 garlid capsules per day, cranberry capsules three times a day, ecchinachia and a concoction of blueberries and water before bed. Drank tons of water and rested and they were gone in 24 hours. I was about 20 weeks then and I am 25 now and they have not returned. Good luck!

For me they feel like my entire belly is very tight and hard. Like someone was squeezing down on my belly from all sides. If I move, or drink water (or sometimes pee!) it will subside.

I too had back labor with my DD, so the shift from BH to contractions was very real. But regular contractions seem to start from your back and radiate forward. BH just seem more like a tightening. They are great for gearing up your uterus for the "final event"!

To me it kind of feels like my uterus is about to sneeze.

In my last pregnancy, I would also feel my belly get hard and tight. I carried high and it was really obvious. Sometimes I could see it happening.

This time, everything is a bit saggier, so I can't feel them so much with my hands.

Nope, they were lower, pretty low in the pelvis like menstrual cramps. Guess they weren't BH. I'll just assume its uterine stretching unless they get worse.

Thanks everyone!
