What do catapillars eat?

I guess catERpillars eat clovers and grasses and milkweed and stuff. Too bad we have a moth caterpillar. I was hoping for a pretty butterfly. Oh well, dd is obsessed with it. She even took the jar to bed!

aw! i had a caterpillar in elementary school. it was cool to watch it grow and change. i bet ur dd will love it.
