What would you like for father's day? what would be the best father's day ever? It's my boyfriends first father's day (the baby is eight months old). Any suggestions for a low budget woman? WHat was your best father's day? Please tell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at the risk of DW reading this and thinking I'm asking for it in a backhanded way....

but you know what? The best gift I've ever received is a photo of DW and DS. I'm looking forward to including DD on it when she comes.

From job to job that photo has followed me. Sometimes the best gifts aren't about money. I could win $100M tomorrow, and that would still be my prized possession.

Now, should we ever be in we-won-the-lottery-no-holds-barred territory, apart from a Harley Davidson Road King, it would have to be this:

i'm a mom, but i did something my dh absolutely loved on his first father's day. ds's b-day is in june, so father's day is right before his birthday. anyway, i made a scrapbook called something like "dad and me: our first year" and put in pictures of the two of them, with little captions from the baby's point of view (i know, it sounds kind of dumb, but it was great). i organized each page by theme and did 4 or 5 pages. the first was waiting for the baby (the pregnancy), the second was the birth, the third was coming home, the 4th was special occasions (holiday, etc) and the 5th was them playing together throughout the year.
i am the world's most uncrafty person, so if i can do it, so can you

and by the way, my dd is 8 months too.
damn, i should do another one this year, now that dd is here.

A bowl of my favorite ice-cream. My kids decorated it with whipped cream and sprinkles and stuff... and the best part... my dd and ds ensured that it was a H-U-G-E bowl of scream!
