People are starting to ask me what I need and I don't really know! I'd love to simplify as much as possible since we might be moving right around the time this baby comes.<br><br>
So far we have:<br>
co-sleeper<br>
20+ onsies 0-3 mo, 10+ 3-6 mo<br>
carseat<br>
receiving blankets<br><br>
What we need (I think?):<br>
jogger<br>
sling<br>
pump<br>
bath seat thingy<br>
crib<br>
changing pad<br><br>
I'm sure there's a lot more I'm missing but I'm totally drawing a blank. We're really just looking for things we'll absolutely need, no swings and what not.<br>
So, what's on your list?

We bought a changing table that is also a dresser, a car seat, some bedding and clothes. I already had a crib. That's it so far.<br><br>
I want:<br>
an ergo carrier (already have a sling)<br>
a bathtub<br>
pump (can't decide if I'll rent or buy since this is my last & I sold my old one)<br>
swing (maybe)<br><br>
We live close enough to stores that we'll just see what else we need. I'm sure we'll get gifts, too.

All we have so far is some random crap that people have sent us. So, I need to do some research and sort out a wishlist. My parents have very generously offered to purchase the baby furniture for us, if we ever get on the ball about it! I know I want cloth diapers, a nice sling, blackout shades, a rocking chair or similar, dresser/changing table... oh yea, the camera!

Cornpicker - we bought a good camera when dd was born. It was one of the best investments we made! We spent a lot on it, but we've gotten the most beautiful pictures of her to keep forever! It's also saved money on getting portraits done. The pictures look so good, we just frame them and give them as gifts to family. Plus they are so much better than those cheeseball Sears portraits.

Moses Basket<br>
Halo sleep sack? I have to see what size we have already<br>
a couple little Haba toys I like - the Trix and Maxe<br>
maybe a sleep noise machine?<br>
and I like the flower Boppy tummy time pad, but we dont need it really<br>
Oh, and we need a bigger dresser and I'm searching garage sales for a double stroller. Maybe a bed rail for when baby is in bed with us? Ok, I'd REALLY love a new glider rocking chair too. If I got all that I'd be totally spoiled!<br><br>
There are a few other things I plan to make/ sew for baby:<br>
a taggie blanket<br>
crochet some wool diaper soakers and longies<br>
sew some cloth blocks for her to play with<br>
make some soft shoes<br><br>

so far we have: onesies, baby care stuff, a dresser, a sling, a mei tai, a moses basket ordered, a few baby blankets, a grobag, a selection of CDs to try out, a dresser....<br><br>
we need: carseat, stroller, crib (and sheets/furnishings for it), swing or bouncy chair, more diapers, a monitor, a breast pump (but do i really need one if i am SAHM?), probably a few more onesies....

Wow, you ladies are on the ball! We have....NOTHING yet! So, we need to start stocking up. We are total minimalists, so not planning on any extras that will take up space, etc. We figure for the beginning we pretty much just need some clothes, cloth diapers, and my boobs!<br>
Well, and some other essential things, like carseat, slings, etc. We will be co sleeping, but dh's parents really want us to have the crib they used with their kids, so we'll probably just take it to make them happy, and maybe set it up as a sidecar deal, but more than likely it will end up being a big laundry basket.<br>
I'm going to a big garage sale today, hoping to start my collection.<br>
About onesies....I've heard some say that onesies just don't fit well over cloth, and it's better to just get shirts....what do you all think?

I am going to try out CDing this time. I'm not going to commit to them yet because DH is going to be the one that is going to be home with baby and he is against CDing. But, when I am home, I am going to be using some CD's.

I have a "thing" about buying baby gear before 24 weeks so we haven't started shopping just yet. I can't wait though! So I really don't have much. Last year I gave away all my girl stuff to my brother's gf who had a little girl and almost 2 years ago I have all my boy stuff away. What I do still have is my sling but I'd really like to try a different type this time. It's a ring sling. I'm going to be cloth diapering so I need everything.<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> My mother is going to make me a couple of wool covers and I plan on making a few fitteds and a couple of AIO just to try them. I already have a list of other cd I will be buying. Clothes. I'll need clothes. I still have my dd's car seat and stroller. I'd really like to get a swing. It was a lifesave with my dd.<br><br>
It really feels like I'm starting all over again. That's partly exciting and a little bit scarey too.

I'll buy tons. Kinda pointless if they won't fit well over cloth.

in my experience onesies will generally fit over cloth, but you need to put baby in onesies that are too big. so the top will be loose and baggy but the bum will be snug. it's not the best look, but it works fine.

I really dislike onsies because of cloth. To me it is just more work, and unless you have ubertrim dipes they just don't fit over them well...

I need a new mayawrap, and really want a pouch. I am so bummed that I sold my wrap when I couldn't carry dd in it anymore, I thought she was my last.<br><br>
I need to get knitting and make up a bunch of shorts in nb and small pants for baby.<br><br>
I need preemie and infant prefolds, want some pins(I swear I am going to master this again!), some small/medium fitteds, a new wetbag for outings.<br><br>
I just shower with baby, so don't need any of the bath stuff except some nice gentle baby wash, and cream, I use olive oil a lot with a little bit of eo or something.<br><br>
ummm...maybe somewhere to lay baby now and then? I'm totally undecided on this, maybe even just a co cleeping or someting, the bed is getting mighty crowded. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>

I have been super lucky! Two of my friends have given me about everything I need accept diapers and a crib. This is our first boy so none of my girly stuff works. (which works out because my friend that gave me all the baby boy clothes needs all my girl stuff) My other friend gave me a car seat, baby bag, carrier, swing, and bedding all with light green Pooh (my favorite.) oh and I guess I need a high chair. I mostly want cloth diapers that would be the biggest help!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment">

I got the Avent hand held pump with my first DD, and only ended up using it a couple times. I had several packs of their bottles, nipples, lids, etc, and wish I hadn't registered for so much of it. (I dont have a ton, but really, 2 or 3 bottles would have been fine, instead of like 10 that I have.) I guess I'm glad I have the pump, I've used it the TWO times I was away from baby, lol, and once or twice when engorged. I wouldn't recommend buying anything more expensive than a hand held if you aren't going to be working. DD ended up not even taking a bottle very well at all anyway, and I never wanted to leave her either. So, minimum, if you really feel the need - get a cheap pump, two bottles, some milk storage bags, and call it good. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/wink1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="wink1"> Thats my two cents!
