I love being pregnant!

I love that my dh will do any of the gross chores, and how he goes out of his way to take extra special care of me.

I love wearing maternity clothes. My best friend lives 3000 miles away now, but we're the same size, so we share our maternity clothes. Both times now I've gotten pregnant as she is in her last weeks, so as soon as she's done wearing them she sends me all my stuff back and hers too. It's a way we can be apart of each other's pregnancies even when we live far apart. Kinda like the sisterhood of the traveling maternity clothes. :LOL

I love how me and my dh have this big secret from most people ~ it's kinda fun!

I love waiting and waiting to feel those first little flutters of a kick in there!

What do you love?

This is a great idea for a thread, although I have to admit that I had to sleep on it to decide what I wanted to add. I am NOT one of those women who loves being pg. But, there are aspects of it that I do love. First, perhaps, is being priviledged enough to be part of an absolute miracle. Each time, I've been just amazed at our bodies' abilities to do what they do so beautifully.

I also like being able to ease up on my exercise and enjoy just kind of plugging along, instead of pushing hard. I enjoy walking and being able to get exercise from that, whereas normally, I will only run for exercise.

Right now I am enjoying the fact that when we move to temporary housing, as we look for a house in Indianapolis, I only have to take my maternity clothes and don't need to think of anything else for myself at least (is this grasping at straws?)

I always love to cook and eat well, but I especially enjoy being thoughtful about what my baby needs and how to get it during my pregnancy.

I am enjoying anticipating nursing again!!

My first, alaskan-king-crab thought when I read this thread was, "Not much." But after some reflection, I've thought of a few things, and it's always a good idea for me to accentuate the positive.

*Not having to clean out the cat box!
*having strangers smile at me, ask when my baby's due, give up their seats in crowded areas for me
*having my cravings indulged
*napping with impunity
* the way everything sort of just slows down -- your most important work is going on, 24/7, and you can let everything else take its proper place on the priority list
* this time, with #2, anticipating how my DS will be as a big brother.
*debating over names
*DP gives me more massages -- last time, in the third trimester, it was daily almost-full-body massages...heavenly.
*when you can't reach your feet it's a good excuse to get professional pedicures!
*it doesn't matter that my stomach's not flat, b/c pretty soon it's gonna be SO not flat!
*while I have to give up or at least limit some of my favorite foods (subs, brie, Diet Coke, coffee, sushi), this gives me a good excuse to get fancy stuff I wouldn't ordinarily: pomegranate juice, pregnancy teas, lots of organic crackers and special little treats
*I'll get to use all those little bitty adorable cloth diapers and covers again!

I love the extra bit of positive attention you get from most people.
I love like pp paying extra attention to good nutrition, as well as exercise to stay in shape, and hopefully make for an easier delivery.
I love how ds already knows there's a "baby in my belly" and thinks he and dh have one too half the time.
I love getting time off from work to go to ob appts. in Memphis.
I love that I have no morning sickness at all.
I love wearing maternity clothes, but I'm not even close to that yet. Can't wait to start scouring the web for some again.

I love that ppl want to buy me stuff !

One of the things I *sometimes* love and sometimes think is a PITA-- ppl won't let me "overexert" myself. Sometimes this is nice, but lately I have found it to be a little ridiculous. I did my friend's wedding, where the heaviest thing I lifted was 5 pounds. My DH was worried about me, and many ppl were telling me to stay of my feet, etc. GRRR! I hate that *I* was in charge of the decorations, and I ended up feeling like a gopher more than the one giving direction!

But, I do love that I get out of cleaning the litter, taking out the trash, etc.

I also love that my husband is paying attention to my tummy. He rubs it with Cocoa butter EVERY night . he also talks/ sings to the baby while he massages my belly.
