Ok so I've been going over these lists of things you "need" for homebirths. And I can't see myself using a lot of the stuff. So for your UC vets out there.....What do you really use and what don't you need? I've got a tub (after my last birth I'll never give birth on land again), and obviously the towels/receiving blankets, still deciding if we're going to go with cord clamps or shoe string, bowl for the placenta.....what else do we really need? I've got SEVERAL nose sucky things (nasal asperators) so I'll sterilize one of those but I know a lot of moms just use their mouths. I labored at home the entire time for my other two births and I didn't use a ball or anything so I don't really need any of the labor stuff.....Am I being dumb? Missing something vital here? Any suggestions?
