last week I had an ultrasound and have to admit I had no clue it would be so tramatic!!!it was my first ever.not sure if I'm being whiny or not but the tech was real rough and I am bruised not to mention having bladder troubles as I swear she bruised my bladder to hell. mind you i have not been able to get any relief at all after peeing since the scan was done. baby was in a wierd position and she kept saying she couldn't see what she needed to. is this normal and should I call up the tech and complain? (hubby thinks I should but I don't want to be a whiny baby)

I'd definitely call and complain - not to the tech, but to the doctor who referred you to this horrible person! You pay them, they work for you, and you can and should demand the kind of service you want! If you went to a restaurant and got crappy service and bad food, would you keep going back there?

Rainbowmoon,
A few thoughts...
When I had my u/s in my last pregnancy, I ended up with a bladder infection afterward from all the water they told me to drink, and then hold for 2 hours. Is it possible you may have one now? Just a thought.

Also, when I had my u/s, I told the tech not to tell me the sex, and she did anyway. It was traumatic for me, for several reasons. Anyway, the bottom line is, she didn't respect my wishes and desires. I did call her supervisor and filed a formal complaint. I am not sure what came of it, but I felt better having my voice heard.

I agree with everyone else though, it should not hurt. Although I admit, my bladder did hurt from holding so much liquid, which was a signal that I should have emptied it, and then most likely would not have had the infection I ended up with.
