Violet is almost four. She woke up this morning and is obviously sick. She is speech delayed, so it has been hard figuring out what exactly is wrong. Here is what I can gather:
103 fever that comes and goes every two/four hours, lots of chills, shaking
vomiting with fever spikes
--good hydration although she is throwing up most of what she drinks. ie, she is holds her cup all the time and takes little sips.
dark circles under eyes, eyes sunken in
she keeps clearing her throat but doesn't complain of a sore throat
she has been holding her side periodically throughout the day--she does this sometimes anyway and I have her pee. That usually solves it.
Sounds to me like flu, except for the vomiting. Fever seems too high for appendicitis. Just a virus??
I've never really seen her this sick.
