A "selection of solid colored one-piece" outfits.

DS is 8 months old, and is having some pictures taken this week. This is what we were told to bring. What EXACTLY does this mean to you????

As I cannot think of many older baby clothes that mastch that description and are not pajamas or a girl's dress, I would just interpret it as a strong message to bring clothes that do not have too many patterns (that don't come out well in photos) and that are not to difficult to change so that time is not wasted.

The only one-piece outfits that I can think of are either a sleeper or a romper. Maybe a little girl's dress.
Can you call and ask?
If I were getting professional photos done I wouldn't really want my baby in jammies.

I used to work for a photographer before having DS. She would recommend the family bring solid, neutral colored clothing. Like white t-shirts and jeans. or black shirt and jeans or khaki. didn't have to be all the same color, but just all neutrals/classic items without patterns. but of course, they are YOUR pictures, and you can choose whatever you want your DS to wear!

ETA: I just had some 6-month pictures done of DS <here>, we did naked and with just overalls. turned out SO cute! (if it asks for a password to view, the password is "eastwood")

When we had professional photos taken recently the photographer told us "just a diaper" for the babe and long-sleeve black tops for mom and dad. We used a white diaper wrap instead of one of the printed ones. It looked great in the black and white photos.
It will be so nice one day to look back on his dimpled little arms and legs and sweet little feet instead of some little outfit, no matter how cute!

Those pictures are really cute! They certainly did a nice job. I would love to have one decent picture of me and DS.

Ooh your baby is delicious! I love those photos! They are great. I too would love to have a good photo of me and DD.

OP - I have no idea what that would mean. Maybe overalls, maybe a romper? But I agree, I wouldn't want jammies on in a professional picture. Maybe just not loud patterns?

Ummm.... I didn't want to mention this b/c I am pretty embarrassed, but it's for a modeling job. For my kid. Yeah. I know.
:

Which is a field I pretty much know nothing about. Which is why I'm stressing so much... I don't want tp ask too many questions and be seen as too high-maintenance.

And LOL to the PPs who said that such clothes don't really exist!!! That was my thought!!!! Unless we're talking onesies, but that's pretty weather-inappropriate where I live.

I would assume they mean solid-colored onesies. Nothing that would distract or take the highlight from your kid's face, since these are modeling photos. Carters has packs of white onesies at BabiesRUs. On a photog forum I'm on I've seen head shots of babies and the like and they're usually wearing a plain white tee/onesie.

If these are being shot indoors the weather shouldn't matter. If these are being shot outdoors, I'd opt for a color other than white as shooting in full sunlight + white clothes = blown out whites.
