DS had all the same stuff we did by a year... so if I'm comfortable eating it, I give it to DS... For us, seafood/fish basicly means: alaskan salmon, canned tuna, canned alaskan salmon, northern pike & walleye, occasional shrimp & scallops. Once or twice a year we'll have lobster tails...

My ds was eating whatever we were eating by his first bday. That just meant we had to eat healthier, which was awesome! I can't think of a fish I wouldn't feed my child...

Smaller fishes like sardines and anchovies are fatty and should be low in heavy metals and other contaminants, apparently you can make them into dips, which I'm hoping to try soon. I wouldn't touch swordfish, tilefish, tuna steaks, like that.

Here's a list of fish to avoid from the Environmental Working Group, but it's not so helpful for healthy fish to eat (despite the URL).

Despite the "don't eat if pregnant" and "eat only once a month" category labels, if they're listed there, none of us would eat them.
