I am a pretty open minded eater, and am up to try darn near everything. I know a lot of people here are as well. So, what have you tried, that it seems evvveryone loves but just does not do it for you?

Try as I might, I just cannot get into olives.

I am kinda iwth you on that, any kind of "bleu" is repulsive to me. However, I love Italian hard cheeses!

Shellfish! Mussels, clams, oysters, scallops...all that stuff. Even lobsters and crabs. They really are disgusting to me.

And they're not gourmet, but I really dislike bell peppers. It seems like they're in just about every recipe. Oh, and summer squash/zucchini.

I am not really into any seafood but fish. Shrimp is okay....but after watching my mom peel it my whole childhood I don't care for it too much. My dad and uncle used to go shrimping adn bring home a 5 gallon bucket to split.

I'm not too into olives either.

I do like pate

Although I am not really into pork. I don't eat it like ever. I see lots of yummy recipes for it though

Blue cheese is just nasty--don't know how anyone can truely like the stuff!! I also don't get the big thing about lobster--it's okay, but what's the big deal? I mean I'd rather have crab over lobster anyday!! Caviar--yuck! Anything banana--although not gourmet--just can't stand them, even the smell grosses me out!

I'm right there with y'all on the lobster, pate and lamb -- though I love other seafood, olives, and just about all cheeses.

But the real
for me is biscotti. They're like something that used to be yummy, but that you accidentally left under the bed for six months. WTF? Why would you eat something that hard? I know, they're supposed to be dunked in coffee, but I'm not a dunker so I don't get that. Give me a nice soft cream-cheese danish any day.

Brie--smells like dirty feet to me and I just can't bring myself to eat it. (Mind you, I love other kinds of funky cheeses like bleu and have been known to enjoy limburger sandwiches . . .)

Not gourmet, but I hate bananas.

Ok, so far everything you all have listed is like a dream meal for me.
It lives in the ocean?
It's slurpy in its shell?

Cheese that smells like feet or barn or worse?

Olives, lamb?

Ooh, and don't forget the capers!

Now I agree with the green peppers, and summer squash - something about the skin and the seeds. Baby summer squash is ok. Peas gross me out, but I think that's because I buy them frozen and then they get freezer burn and taste yucky.

Now I am starving.
