My DS loves to have me nurse things -- as I am sure most toddlers do.

So far I "shared nanas" with a stuffed lamb, cow, horse, starfish, a penguin, a a jet plane, a wholewheat roll, and a salt shaker

He likes to nurse his animals and toys too

Anyone else nurse odd things at the request of your toddler/ child?

So far I've only had to nurse 'Baby' once. The next time DS refused to share.

I have nursed my own 5 kids, plus two others.

Of course anything that I was asked to nurse by my DC I did. Dolls, stuffed animals. I do not really remember nurising anything unsual, except..........

I nursed two squirrels. Yes, I actually kept them alive from NB to when I let them go months later with my breatmilk.

My very first memory of nursing:
I was 4 yrs old, in the back seat of the car, I had my doll inside my shirt along with my face in there.. I was making sure she had her mouth at my nipple

I posted this same thing over in Child Led Weaning a few weeks ago.

My 23 mo old has asked me to nurse his duck, giraffe, Papa, and a Brio train car. It's a daily occurence for the giraffe and the duck. In the morning when we do our wake-up time, he has a bottle of yogurt and milk and then he has nummies, then we all have kisses. So that means that I nurse him, then the duck and giraffe, sometimes Papa, then I have to kiss ds, then the duck and giraffe, then Papa, then ds kisses everyone, then Papa kisses everyone, then ds gets down to play.
I feel I should state that he gets a bottle of cow's milk and yogurt and then nummies b/c I no longer have milk, I dried up at 16 mos. He gets a tiny bit of mama milk, but only a few drops per breast, I think. Nummies are for cuddling and comfort.

I nursed a balloon today. We went to a baby shower yesterday and the mom to be gave dd a balloon, her first ever. Ever since then, that string has been in dd's hand! Well, until we popped it because it was getting low and we were worried she'd pop it.

Other than that, my dd doesn't share nursies.

I've "nursed" Elmo, stuffed animals, toy trucks, dolls, and a piece of paper!!!

Yup, once, when ds was about 2, he held a piece of paper to my breast and insisted that I nurse it!

I've nursed babies and stuffed animals, but that's when I was a toddler myself. My mom had two babies after me and I always nursed my "babies" because of that. DD hasn't asked me to nurse anything yet, but she's only 18 months!

The title was curious so i had to read the thread. My DD is 14 months and has yet to ask me to nurse anything yet. OS my dog nursed her cat when she was a kitten. My Dog has never had puppies but was capable of producing milk for the kitten. It was very sweet then she cut her off cold turkey.

she often tries to share with DH
occasionally she asks me to BF her dolly, but I encourage her to BF dolly herself
yesterday we were taking a bath and she held a seawee up to my breast and started making nursing sounds

My 18 month old stopped nursing at about 10 months because of lost milk supply due to pregnancy. She is not fascinated by me nursing the baby. I have since regularly been given her piggy to nurse as well as her baby doll and once her cup.

My son has asked me to nurse his baby doll, but usually nurses it himself The funny part is where he thinks his milk comes from, not his nipple, but his belly button because it's an outie It's quite cute!

LOL I donated to a squirrel that a doula was going to give human fomula ( they might as well use it for somthing ) she was looking at the can like it was in greek and I said oh dont give it that! I grabed a cup from the water cooler and collected while I nursed my dd. LOL Later others donated to the healthy BF squirrel

Baby dolls, Elmo, stuffed animals, books, a piece of gum (Trident ), a remote control. DD is fascinated with me nursing whatever she happens to think might need a little drink. And she nurses lots of her toys herself as well.

my dd, my ds, and for toys......mainly horses and dolls. now dd does offer to let dh nurse every now and again....

on a side note, dd shocked a church lady one day. dd was in the nursery and started to "hand express" her "nurse milk" into a toy cup for her dolly. I don't own a pump, but will hand express a little on occasion for small things (I think it was the time my new earring piercing got infected and I was using BM to stop the infection). It was so cute to see her copy me!
