I have switched my cats over to EVO. Though, I still have half a bag of IAMS left. Well, the other day I moved the bag onto our counter (where it apparently had unrumpled somewhat). Then, later in the afternoon I discover Heaven had actually nearly jumped into the bag and was scarfing down the IAMS dry...: She's pretty resourceful like that! She was eating like there was no tomorrow...:

This is with a FULL BOWL of EVO nearby, which she didn't really seem so interested in when she had a choice. And, she doesn't seem to be enthusiastically into even when the IAMS isn't there.

Anyhow, I wonder about this as I want her to be "enthusiastic" about any food that I serve her as she needs to maintain a hearty weight for being shown eventually.

Anyone else have any experiences with this, when their cat doesn't seem to be so enthusiastic about a food which is supposed to be "really good" for them...?

I've come to the conclusion that pretty much any pet food that's currently being sold in conventional supermarkets is junk food.

Of course, she just might miss her old food.

oh yeah, total junkfood. Its like the lure of Mcdonalds to young children.

this reminds me of the time we brought home Abbey kitty to our family. Being 3yrs I figured it would be harder to switch her food so I bought her the "McIams" to slowly switch her over.....Anyhoo, I left it on the counter, in the store bag, and the next day - the 2 kitties had managed to open it up and eat half the bag. Did they touch the bag of catnip though? Noooooo. But, I do have some freaky kitties. :

I keep all my kitty kibble in an empty 4L ice cream pail in the pantry. Keeps out kitties and larter beetles.

Sounds like IAMS has been purposefully modified so that cats are "attracted to it"...: . I'm not surprised. The wacky thing though, she did THROW some up afterwards. I swear she gorged herself : .

Probably what someone would do if they had a McDonald's binge. I saw Super Size Me...bleh.
