I just love a good thunderstorm. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment"> There's just something in the air, I do declare! There's a tornado warning out for the town just north of us, and my dh thinks I'm absolutely insane because I get so darned happy and excited when good spring boomers blow through. It's like I can feel the electricity though, make any sense? Not that I want to see anyone get hit by a tornado, mind you, just that I love the charge in the air.<br><br>
He grew up deprived of thunderstorms and is scared to death of them... me, I think I could be a storm chaser if I didn't have children.<br><br>
So tell me I'm not alone, where's the thunderstorm lovers? Pull up a chair, we got some good ones comin'!

I do love a good thunderstorm as long as there are no tornadoes with it. My favorite are daytime ones when the sky gets black.

That's the kind we had here this evening. Dd was annoyed with me<br>

When I lived in California I missed storms. When I moved back home to PA we had<br>
a really good loud one. I called my friend (who was born in PA, moved to Cali when<br>
I did) and I held the phone outside so she could listen to it.

I totally get what you mean! I get so hyper and excited. When I was a kid we would go to my grandma's house and watch the storms move over the lake from her large picture window. VERY cool!!!<br><br>
Oh adn I get all excited about major snow storms too. I jsut get this crazy energy. Like my survival mechanism is kicking in!!

Since I've known him my dh has worked in construction. For a good chunk of that that time he was working outdoors. When they weather got bad he didn't have much to do and came home. About 9 months before dd was born there was rain for about 2 weeks straight in the DFW area <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/blush.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="blush"> I have to admit to some fondness for thunderstorms <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

I love a good storm! We used to live on a lake, and I loved watching the storm move across the lake. We're not on a lake anymore, but now we have a front porch with a swing. Guess where you'd find me when a storm is rolling in?

I love, love, love storms! Hurricanes, hail storms, thunderstorms, snow storms, ice storms, all of them! Big huge booming thunderstorms with amazing lightening shows are my favorite though. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
