I remember a recommendation for this a while back but they had some weird "we've been hacked" messages on their site. I just saw the note about using them for learning site words. Just wondering what they are. Their site is a bit unclear. Is it a pay site? Worth it? We've done headsprout, starfall, Reading Eggs. DD is mostly bored with them at this point. She's almost six and reading decently well now.

Interesting....I read about this on the other thread, as well, and went to the website to check it out. You have to register to see anything so I tried but it kept telling me my email address was incorrect.

it's similar to starfall & totally free. it's pretty good imo. it's definitely not better than headsprout or reading eggs though. it's for a child learning to read , so your dd won't really benefit from it since she is already reading. i'd just move onto your library books now. my dd also loves the free beginner books listed at ambleside, maybe those will interest your dd too? hth.

Why not just let her read books and magazines if she's already reading decently? I think one of the John Holt books mentions that children who read a lot will read well, write well and spell well, just from the exposure (or something of that nature).
