It seems like since I hit 29 weeks it's been a downward spiral. I don't know if it's round ligament pain or not but my lower abdomen just above the pubic area has been really sore the past couple of days, mostly tonight. My back has also been hurting, I have been using the heating pad a lot. And when baby moves sometimes it feels uncomfortable, not painful really, but just really uncomfortable, but it's only where there's 'large' movements and not just kicks.
I'm just worried, and freaking myself out I'm sure. I just feel like crap, and I want to know if the feelings I am having seem normal, like other people are having or have had them.

I am basically in pain constantly, which I am blaming on my age. LOL! My back hurts, my pelvis hurts, my abdomen hurts... as long as you aren't having contractions that hurt regularly, having some pain is fairly normal at this stage. As is the insomnia.... which is why I am online at this ungodly hour. LOL!

I have had some pretty strong round ligament pain with all my pregnancies mostly toward the sides of my belly. This time I have had some really intense pain below my belly, but the same kind of pain. I mean, hard to walk, might literally fall over if I had to run, kind of pain. MY husband finally put 2-and-2 together and realized it was probably me overstretching/over exerting at pre-natal yoga.

Anyway, the difference in pain for me is that contraction-y pain is like the cramps at the very beginning of my period. Round ligament pain is more similar to pulled muscle kind of pain... not so deep inside my belly, and really only when I move.

I had super horrible back pain at the end of my last pregnancy and about 3 months into this one. It was getting debilitating. I finally gave in and went to a chiropractor suggested by my midwife. My insurance doesn't cover it, but they were SUPER flexible with discounts and (informal) payment plans (like "sure, go ahead and send a check when you get paid on Wednesday" or "sure, you can give us part now and part later"). Anyway, it took 3 or 4 appointments, but I am a totally new woman. My back rarely hurts, I know what will aggitate it, and when it starts to get sore I know how to keep it from getting worse.

I felt like a penguin waddling into work this morning because I have the pain above the pubic bone thing too. So far not so much with the back pain (I'm only 28 weeks though, maybe next week). Also, I've been having the almost painful baby movements. I think it's all normal. Sigh.

I finally called my midwife today just to be sure and she told me that it sounds like normal pains and only to worry if it starts burning when I pee, I get pain accompanied by a fever, or contractions.
I am just SO uncomfortable! I also slept on and off for hours already today. Last night I ended up sleeping on the couch because my bed was not comfortable and I needed the back cushions to prop me up on my side.
I envy the woman who have energy and no pain right now.
I just took some tylenol, so hopefully it will help a little!

I had this last pg, and I have it again now.

For me what makes the biggest difference is to sit when I feel it coming on, and lay on my side if possible. Last pg I sort of tried to ignore it or tough it out-since my mw said not to worry, but it was so awful! This time around I'm trying to be very sensitive to it and not do too much standing, and get off my feet as soon as I feel it coming on.

Going to the chiro. helps, and I keep traumeel gel in the fridge and that helps also.
