Do you have all your post partum supplies? This time around i stocked up on pads for both nursing and lochia, as well as put together (with the help of my mw) an emergency mastitis kit (since im prone to mastitis).

The only thing i have left to do is buy a breast pump and make a few meals for the freezer. The pump will have to wait for finances and im doing the meals tomorrow.

I haven't really prepared for anything, I think I am in a little bit of denial just yet. Last time I was this far along my mom was here, and now she won't arrive for another 2 wks. I hopefully will get the rest of my stuff together this next week...that's my goal anyways. lol

The only things i stocked up on for babe for medicine cab is mylicon, colic tabs and gripe water (my girls both had horrid colic), thermometer and then infants tylenol only because it was on sale (the generic) at target for like $1 a piece and doesn't expire for over a year. Not sure why i bought it as we rarely use it. Also cornstarch for powder and some butt balm.

My list seems to be never ending. I had a big burst of energy yesterday and ripped pretty much my whole house apart but never actually finished a room so there is just stuff everywhere and I no longer have energy. I need someone to call me and say they are coming over then I will get my bum in gear and clean my house lol.

Well I am just finishing up washing the ZILLIONS of clothes/blankets/bedding I received at my shower. I really think I could provide enough outfits for about three to four newborns at this point, but I'm glad he's a singleton just the same.

I still need to:

--sort through hand me downs from relatives (awesome stuff, I should be good through the end of the year)
--wash all these hand me downs and put them into storage units, donating what I won't be using
--set-up baby's room, this is getting sort of done, but there are many miles to go
--finish organizing the rest of the apartment, progress being made, but is a big job

Oh boy......five weeks

I wish my energy level could keep up with my nesting desire!
I did check one big thing off my list today--my crib skirt. I finally sewed it. I'm not a great seamstress, so I'm pretty proud that it turned out!
I'm just now drying my last few new diapers too.
Hitting 36 weeks today is making me panic just a little! Everyone keeps saying, "Oh, I'll bet you're ready for this baby to come!" and I'm like, "Heck no! I've got too many things to do first!"

I'm going to be 38 weeks on Tues. so my to-do list is pretty much "have a baby"
My DH needs to clean the filter for the birth tub (once a week, it's a week today), I need to re-plant half of my garden- snails ate my cucumber and squash plants so I went and bought new ones yesterday in hopes that these ones will make it., and I need to clean my kitchen today big time.....but all of those things will be ok if I have a baby today (you hear that universe?! I am ready!!) I've got all the baby stuff I need I think, I'd still like to get a new diaper bag but it's not a must have. Everything's clean and put away, my birth kit is set up, my birth tub is set up....I'm ready!

Everytime I make a list, I get depressed...so I threw out the lists!

In short I need to buy everything, find a new job (i got laid off wednesday from a 1099 gig so much fun looking for work 36 weeks pregnant!), try to be nice to my dh and kids, and have a baby! Thank the Universe my dh does most of the cooking and cleaning (ducks to avoid the flying veggies)..this non-list is exhausting enough!

I am so overwhelmed by my list this time. I really want to get it done but I feel so physically limited this time around.

- clean (seriously) DH and my bedroom/bath. It seems like we only really do this when a baby is due.

- Finish moving the girls into the third bedroom together, get my stuff out of there and the closet, move all of their clothes (sort their clothes, too) and make the nursery ready for baby.

- Get a good base clean to the house so that I can schedule someone to come and do a whole house clean on week 38 (thank you, Mom, for that Christmas gift I've been saving)

- Weed the front yard garden beds and plant the rest of my veggies. Prune everything else so that the midwives don't get lost in the weed forest on the way to the front door.

- Freezer meals. I don't know if I'll ever get to this.

- Pull down the box of baby clothes and diapers and sort/wash.

I am so tired looking at this. Sigh.

The list of stuff I'd like to get done is long, and includes mainly cleaning, cooking, shopping, gardening, and lots of stuff to do at work before maternity leave starts. But I think the list of stuff I truly need to get done is now all done. If this babe came today, I'd find things that I wish I'd gotten done, but I'd have all my basics covered. I'm due June 1, so this babe can come any time now!

I still need to order the jersey knit sheets for baby's bed and get a couple of sleep nursing bras. Move a few boxes to the garage, have DH steam clean carpets and a few other odds and ends.

Ok. I will be honest.
I still have some cleaning to do. Bathrooms especially
Friday my 20% off Babies R Us coupon becomes usable and I need to get a pump and clean al the parts. The new pump is my big splurge. I feel like the pump I used with DS is on its last legs.
Finish washing the clothes/blankets and put them away
Pack a hospital bag and overnight bag (just in case) for DS
Get quotes on pool service and hire smeone for the Summer so we can enjoy the pool and not have to do al the work

So much to do, so little energy, so much effort required to put one foot in front of the other. I am done shopping in stores. My feet/ankles are so swollen they remind me of Fat Bastard from Austin Powers. Anything I need now gets bought online, hopefully w/free shipping, or DH picks it up from Freecycle.

I'm determined to keep doing laundry for myself because DH will end up shrinking my clothes and washing whites w/denim thus turning them blue.

My last few pocket one-size cloth diapers just need snaps on one side, and I'm still working on covering/quilting Zorb inserts. I just got a new sewing machine (kind of a Christmas/birthday/Valentine's/Mother's Day/anniversary present) that I am in LOVE with, so I'm able to get things done a bit faster.

I need to clean up our bedroom and sort out the maternity clothes I'll likely be wearing for the next few weeks, before and after the birth, and bag up what never did fit for the clothing swap I'm attending next week.

Need to pack a bag for the hospital. Need to actually find a bag to pack it all in.

Need to write a birth plan before Wednesday's OB appt.

Need to visit my neighbor who's in a nursing home, as I promised to, before I can't drive anymore.

But today, I think I will just have a lazy day and keep my feet up in bed to help w/the swelling. DH won't be home till later tonight. I was up last night till 4am w/friends, so I am napping a lot today. Tmw is our 2 yr anniverary, and I need to be rested up for going out on the town.

Okay, time for a snack and then another nap.

Maintaining the house (keeping it clean).

Keeping the fridge and freezers stocked (just as difficult as keeping the house clean!).

Paying a few bills early (ones due in June, paying them next week, that way DH doesn't have to figure out what I normally pay and when).

That's about it. I have little things like shipping some stuff out, but not much. Hospital bag is packed except for last minute items, and even those items I have written on a list to grab when we need to GO.

Mattress came today so baby's room is just about complete! Have plans to make a crib skirt next weekend.

Finished the rough draft of our birth plan this morning at 6am! Can't seem to sleep in anymore.

Also began packing the birth bag for the hospital. Need to make a list of what else needs to be added last minute (e.g, toothbrush). Plan is to have a master list on top of the bag and then sticky notes in the bathroom and bedroom to remind myself and my husband what else we need to add once labor begins.

Cleaned the entire house this weekend. Now just need to work at keeping the house clean and organized. Easier said than done when working full time and husband is working 7 days a week!

Our plan a month ago was to have hardwood floors installed in our living room and kitchen and order new furniture. Furniture is ready to be picked up, but floors have yet to be ordered. Unless baby goes past due date, don't think floors will be ready in time. At least we'll have furniture for guests and a comfy chair for nursing though.

So excited to meet this baby! 36 weeks tomorrow and have a visit with the midwife. I haven't been checked in 4 weeks so I'm pretty excited to see how we've grown. The office seems to space appointments about more than most as I was seen every 6 weeks in the first and second trimester and then every 4-5 weeks in the third trimester so far. Next appointments are scheduled for 38, 39, and 40 weeks. I'm getting close!
