OK, I have to use sposies when I take dd to childcare, and I have not had good experiences with Tushies. So I am at the local health food store, and I see there is a new brand of "natural" disposables called Nature Boy and Girl. The bag says they are all natural, and they are compostable. The outer layer is made of corn starch rather than plastic. So I think, great, they will probably still end up in a landfill somewhere, but at least there will be no harmful chemicals in contact with my daughter's skin.

Anyway, dd is home from childcare, and I have just changed her out of her sposie into her nice soft cotton diaper, and I decide to open the sposie to see what's inside. Guess what I found? Gel balls!! I was so disappointed! Could it be "all natural" gel? How could that be compostable? Does anyone know what that stuff is?

Yuck.

I stopped using Tushies because the tabs don't stick. (and they leak, but that's not nearly as frustrating as the non-sticky tabs.) I guess I just have to put packing tape in the diaper bag.

Is there any other gel-free sposie out there?
