I'd say most of us here probably CD just as much for fun as for other reasons. So tell...what got you hooked?

We used CPF's and wraps for the first 7-8 mos. with our first son and loved it...then I ordered a Kissaluv. I've since tried so many...but always go back to those Kissaluvs as my all-time favorite.

It took me, literally, two seconds to get hooked.

I bought two Fuzzi Bunz for my toddler because his sposies were getting too small for him at night (I was planning on doing CD at night only). I took them out of the package and.... oh! They were SO SOFT!!! And no disgusting chemical smell!!!

I was totally hooked from that very moment. It didn't really sink in until then that when you use cloth diapers, you get to put nice soft cushy material against your baby's skin instead of that uncomfortable papery stuff.

This is TMI but... when Aunt Flo comes for a visit I'm always so uncomfortable with pads because they scratch my skin. I bet the same is true for DS! (I think I'm going to switch to cloth mama pads now too)

Yeah, seriously. I loved everything about them - EXCEPT the velcro.

We used OC contours and Proraps for the first 5 months then I got some Kissaluvs from their outlet - that started it all. Those got me looking on ebay and at other wahms, etc.

But the diaper that turned me into a hyena was Sugar Peas - back in the day when they werent wholesale and you could only get them when the stocked - which wasnt often and was always a mad rush.

I think opening that giant box of cardboard-like prefolds and a bunch of bummis covers and I was hooked. There was a little tiny FB, too, which I petted for months before my baby was actually born!
Another thing that really sucked me in was seeing the gorgeous dipes....I remember a Jody Mack honeyboy on ebay that went for some super-high price (what was it? A sailboat?). Even though I wasn't spending that kind of money I remember thinking how gorgeous it was!

Angel Wraps! Ha! Here I'd only tried low quality PFs before then. A trim, cute diaper! Who knew!

FCB :

When I was considering cloth, a friend sent me a box of all different kinds of diapers. Some were hyena and some weren't hyena, but I had never heard of any of them. Out of that whole box, I fell in love w/ the FCB b/c it fit DD like a dream, was so cute, and was extremely well-made. After using sposies for 7 months, I was sold on that soft, cuddly piece of fluff....and have been hooked ever since. :LOL

a Righteous Baby Shell set. I bought some when I was pregnant with dd (2 years ago!) and I could not beleive how far diapering had come! I pet those diapers multiple times a day until Maddie was born

fuz

I was here during the Diaper Garden craze. My first fluff was a strawberry w/ seeds fuzbomb. So, I guess that was a cover; but, I was in love with the dipes too....I had planned to use them exclusively. Glad I didn't. She outgrew the rise on the melon dipe and I got the blasted binding holes. :
