Anybody else have this or did have this prior to or part of labor?
I have lots of cramping under my belly (above my pubic hair line) straight across my stomach. Very tight, sore and sitting down hurts because I feel like I am sitting ON something (this kid is gonna have a flat head). Basically side lying and sitting on the toilet feel the best.
This constant, painful cramping has only been happening today so I don't know what is with the change...maybe prelabor (my favorite choice in the list of possibilities), maybe baby even lower (but she was pretty low already), maybe the baby crushing something else inside that body of mine (God, something else besides baby has the NERVE to be in there in her way?!?!).
I dunno. Any thoughts?

Well I have cramping and it was labor-prep (obviously not labor, I'm still here) - kind of pre-AF stuff like? Is that what you're kind of talking about?

I don't know... I kind of think it's just prep.

I have a lot of pain in my pubic bone area, and I think that is the baby's head pressing against it. Sitting is the worst, side lying can be bad too unless I have lots of pillows between my legs.

(pre-af would be pre aunt flo or pre period cramping!

Kimberly, I get cramping like you're describing w/ my period... low in my pelvis & it radiates into my upper thighs sometimes.

I had this almost constantly for 2-3 weeks before I went in to labor. I must say while it was annoying, I really feel like my body did a lot of pre-laboring before I had contractions & am happy w/ the way things went.

I bet your body is doing exactly what it should be, you clever woman
