Last night as I was nursing ds (10 months old) back to sleep I noticed that the top 1/3 of my breast was really tender. I chocked it up to maybe AF coming, but then I realized that it was only one breast and only part of it. I figured it was a clogged duct, so when I was searching for it, I found a really hard pea sized "thing". My clogged ducts have never felt like that before. They're usually bigger and not round and super hard. I proceeded how I normally would with a clogged duct. I applied warm heat and then tried to push it out. I couldn't get it to budge at all. And it hurt much worse than any previous clog. So I just took a bunch of lecithin and tried to go to sleep. When I woke up in the night to nurse ds, the top half of my breast was extremely sore to the touch and when I let down it was awful. It's the same thing this morning. It hurts when I move around. And the pain is intense when I let down. I have tried and tried to massage anything out, but I can't get anything. This is so much worse and very different from my previous clogged ducts. Oh, and I don't have any streaking that I can tell, and I feel pretty crummy, but I think that might be due to the cold I've been fighting the past 2 days. I have no idea what to do now. All of the usual tricks haven't worked. Could this even be a clogged duct? What else could it be? What do I need to do now? TIA

I've had 4 clogs in the last 7 weeks (DS is only 7 weeks old!) and this is how they always feel to me. I have never actually felt the plug, just the intense pain, especially with letdown.
