I have had a pain (like headache pain) in my right eyebrow (just above to just below) for about a week now. I wake-up with it, take some ibuprofen and it takes the edge off, but it still hurts. My eye has been slightly irritated as well, though this could just be because of the pain iykwim. I don't have a cold or sinus infection. I looked up sinusitis and from all of the illustrations, my pain falls between the sinus cavities. I am not having any vision problems at all.

Any thoughts? ANyone else who might have had something similar to this phantom pain??

FWIW, it's not phantom pain. I've only ever heard of that being the pain that amputees feel in the part that's gone. Sounds pretty real to me.

Could still be sinus even without a full on infection. I've found massage of the painful area to be helpful sometimes, visualizing drainage while doing so.

An antihistamine, or more likely a decongestant, in whatever form you prefer, will probably help.

Crazy! I actually thought about using that term incorrectly when I posted...definitely not a phantom pain

So, you think it's sinus pain? It just seems like such a weird place. I have had sinus pain in various places before, but never without some cold symptoms as well...
It really is just above and to the right of the bridge of my nose.
I'll try your suggestions. Thanks!!

I have chronic sinus issues and I deal with that kind of pain often. You're not crazy, it's real. Sometimes, my eye even swells a little. I usually try steam to help clear everything and drink lots of water. I suffer from tons of allergies, so when I am having trouble, I look at my environment to see if I can pinpoint the problem. Good luck!
