At about ten weeks I started getting this odd rash on my neck - really itchy. It has slowly spread to my face/hairline and also on the sides of my belly. I'm 24 weeks now and it has not abated at all. I've tried eliminating foods, not using any oils/soaps and it just doesn't seem to matter what I do. I've never had any trouble with eczema or rashes before this. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? It doesn't sound like PUPPPS but it is so annoying and really weird. At this point I am resigned to it being here until the baby is born, but what if it doesn't go away after that??? I am so itchy!!!

I found a website that listed these rashes:

PUPPP - (pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy)

herpes gestationis (NOT caused by the virus)

impetigo herpetiformis

papular dermatitis of pregnancy -- see helpful link at end of post, which talks about it some.

prurigo gestationis (here's some info on it from this site):

Quote:
Prurigo gestationis

Another harmless but potentially annoying pregnancy rash is called prurigo of pregnancy, or prurigo gestationis, which appears as many tiny bumps that look like bug bites, usually on the hands, feet, arms and legs, although they can develop anywhere on the body. Prurigo of pregnancy can occur any time during your pregnancy, but it is more common during the second half and affects about 1 in 300 pregnant women. Although there is no cure for the condition, the itching can be relieved with topical cortisone or antihistamines and the rash usually resolves soon after delivery.
Of those, the last one is the only one that sounded kind of like what you've described.

I would also consider contact dermatitis, and look at your detergent, makeup, lotions, etc. You can develop sensitivity or allergies to products in pregnancy that may be totally innocuous to you prior to getting pregnant.

And this site had some great info:

Sorry you're suffering.
