Sorry, I know, another "vent" thread.<br><br>
But what is going on??<br><br>
4 days of bloody show and loosing my plug, hours and hours of contractions 5 min apart that always fizzle. Tried different positions. Baby is always rotating from LOA to ROA.<br><br>
Why wont my body just go into labor already. I get my hopes up everytime I see bloody show and get the strong sharp contractions only for it to all go away at night when I go to bed. grrrrrrrrr.<br><br>
I'm 41+5 and just want my baby in my arms. And of course I'm not willing to do any type of home induction unless there is a true medical reason to do so. I'm just really losing my patience and faith in my body!! uuugh!!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked">

Melissa, I know it's difficult, but your body CAN and WILL birth this baby!!! Easier said than done, but letting go might be what you need right now. I had days of bloody show and contractions that fizzled as well, and on day 4 I just gave up on hoping for labor to begin. That night, my water broke and my daughter was born almost 24 hours later.<br><br>
A few more days is SUCH a small amount of time- enjoy it and pamper yourself a bit, because busier days are ahead.

Can you convince yourself your due dates are off? Someone said that to me and I believe I went into labor the very next day. Hang in there, you're so close you can almost smell the newborn smell. All my best - wish I could be there to see this little one. I bet they'll be just as adorable as your dd. Give her a hug from us. Make some plans to celebrate how far you've come. You are so ready, all this work just means less work when babe is ready.
