I can't get over this. Then I googled two "baby microwave" words and came up with many hits. I'm losing sleep over this one.:

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/tx/4808446.html

As requested.... The baby is still alive.

I googled it looking for the story... I did not expect so many hits. Our news touched on it but I had to know why.

What in the world would possess a person to do that??????? He must be seriously mentally ill. : Thank God the baby didn't sustain worse injuries. I'm having a hard time not violating the UA right now. Suffice it to say that even "an eye for and eye" doesn't sound like justice.

I can't figure out which is more disturbing! The fact that with the first story the baby should recover and lead a normal life where the other baby will not have a normal life makes the 2nd story worse, but I am baffled, why why why why why??????????? !
Why can't people that have some of these... "ideas" just say.. "Wait this will hurt the baby really bad, this is not a normal thought, maybe I should leave the baby alone in the house and take a breather"
Leaving a baby alone for a while until finding someone to help would be better, easier, less repercussions.

Beyond the cutting, I CANNOT BELIEVE that she disposed of his genitals so that they could not be reattached and refused to tell police what she did with them.
It goes from bad to worse.

I am not sure the first baby will fare so well. The burns are 3rd degree. That often means skin grafts.

In regards to the baby boy, the article said:

"Nadal has not been allowed to see her son since the injuries were discovered because she tested positive for cocaine, methadone and a mild tranquilizer the day after the attack, Olguin has said previously."

So does that mean if she didn't have the drugs in her system they would have contemplated letting her be anywhere near this baby?: WTF? she needs to not be within 500 miles of her son ever again. Sorry, but any "mother" who could do something this heinous to her own baby should automatically have her parental rights terminated. That poor little boy, it's unbelievable. And the little girl too. Makes me want to :puke . It's horrific.
