I have a 25 lb toddler and while our sling still works it just a lot of fabric. I would like a hip carrier but am not really sure where to look to get an idea of the variety that are available.

Anyone have site recommendations for browsing? Anone have a fave carrier?

TIA!

Why not try a pouch style sling, like the ones at www.kangarookorner.com ? I have a Hip Hammock that I just couldn't get into. However, if someone were more a Baby Bjorn person, it might work for them. I still use my OTSBH for the hip carry with my 35 lb boy!

I love my Kangaroo Korner AFP for the hip carry. I wasn't as happy with their cotton though. I found that it pulled too much on my shoulder and I couldn't wear her for as long.

Gotta agree with the above. I love my pouches (fleece and cotton) from Kangaroo Korner for the hip carry with my 23 pounder. Love, Love, Love them. The fleece is more comfy, but gets too hot for her this time of year and at the mall. Not that I ever shop.

I, too, loved my fleece pouch for hip carrying my 25 pounder. Now that it's hot out, my stretch hotsling does almost as comfy a job.

Well, I"ll vote for the Hip Baby from www.walkingrockfarm.com . I use this probably more than any other carrier for errands, etc. (ds is 21 months old and we've probably been using it since he was 12 months old).
