I have decided I hate lastin. Is polybraid the best? Assuming you are sewit down with a multiple zigzag blindly.

I decided the same thing! I have quite a few yards sitting in a drawer.

I like polybraid. I like the fact that I can stretch it all the way, and it seems perfect every time. With lastin, it was much harder, and I kept getting things too tight or too loose.

I like Stretch Rite knitted elastic when I'm not using lastin.

I swear I'm all along in my love of lastin

I use knitted elastic. The only thing I stay away from is woven elastic. The really cheap stuff you find at walmart for like 97 cents just wrapped in a little peice of paper.. the recovery of that is too strong and it can leave red marks. It's good for like the waistband of pants or things like that, but for diapers, you really want a nice even recovery that gives a softer fit so it's not binding.

Amber is the president of the Lastin Fan Club :LOL

I don't like it either, I always use Stretchrite Polybraid. I once got a no-name poly braided elastic and the stretch was totally different and I ended up with diapers that though made with the same pattern, fit differently, so now I stick with what I know and love.

i tack down the edges of my elastic and sew in a casing. i've had trouble with lastin breaking off a few months down the road.

so now i buy Jess's Stretchrite Polybraid! LOL!
I don't know what is up with Lastin, but if it works for you, you are probably more talented than me lol. I'll go back to the polybraid thanks!
