I've heard you can use a teflon foot for sewing PUL, although I haven't gotten one yet. What i do is make sure to always sew with the sticky side of the PUL always facing the feed dogs, and the fabric I'm sewing it to facing the foot, which helps. When I need to sew 2 pieces of PUL together (for wetbags, etc) I wrap the edges in a strip of tissue paper and then rip it away when I'm done sewing.

It's a teflon foot and I like mine a lot. There is one available on the internet for $5 that fits most machines. I have found it useful for sewing vinyl and leather as well.

I've tried the PUL against the feed dogs trick, my machine still isn't happy. But it is worth a try.

I use a walking foot. I've never heard of a teflon- I need to do some searching! Although, I am pretty happy with the walking foot.

A walking foot or roller foot are suppose to be better for sticky fabrics like vinyl and leather too, it makes sense that they work for PUL. But a teflon foot was cheaper for me to buy than a walking foot. Do you have a Pfaff? The IDT is suppose to be really nice.
