Pulling wetness through. Ine the case of a fleece liner it means how urine goes through into the absorbent part of the diaper. Or in the case of an AIO it means pulling wetness to the outside of the diaper, where you don't want it.
As far as I know wicking is the drawing of moisture through a seam or fabric in a cover/diaper into clothing or bedding or whatever ... it's a fancy way of saying that the diaper or cover is leaking LOL. Mostly I would use it if I were referring to a diaper cover that leaked along a seam or through a bound edge... where the moisture just followed fabric or thread to get out of the diaper/cover vs leaking which to me means it's a problem with fit or absorbancy.
