I love my maya wrap ring sling. It's really easy for me to adjust and there are many ways to wear baby with it.<br><br>
I made mine though, using the directions/pattern on the mayawrap website.

Ok, I *don't* own one. No $200 ring slings for us. But, I did try one on and it was unbelievably comfortable--supportive but not too heavy, easy to adjust. The construction is pretty simple--double-layered silk dupioni with a deeply pocketed gathered shoulder. I made myself a knock-off and it is just about as comfy as a real SB.<br><br>
You have to use 100% silk dupioni though, no poly, or you lose the supportiveness and breathability.<br><br>
As a runner-up, anything by sleeping baby productions.<br><br>
I found my Maya hard to use and it hurt my shoulder (I have a shoulder injury though, so I have to very picky with carriers, especially one-shouldered ones).<br><br>
ETA: so SB's are pretty feminine. For DH-friendly I'd go with an SBP. Maybe a slingified wrap.

i have a maman kangarou ring sling, which my husband and i both use and love!<br><br>
if you both like pouches, maybe you could get a sling that is both? someone linked some here in another thread that were great...<br><br>
