What should I do?

I've been sending out soap samples with all my orders. I've used this WAHM's soap and we LOVE it. But it is starting to look like she's flaked out. No response to emails, and my last order with her was never filled. I know someone else is looking for her too. Thankfully my order was only $10.

But I've sent these soaps with her name & website to dozens of customers! Not to mention the fact that I have close to 100 more to send out. I feel terrible that I may have sent out stuff to my customers from a potentially bad apple. Should I put a note on my site? Try and contact people who recieved the freebies? What about the soaps I still have? I can take the label off easily, but I don't quite feel right about that either. Any suggestions? I'm not making a snap judgement, I'm still holding out hope that she'll turn up. But as each email goes unanswered and I find other people unhappy about her I lose more hope.

I would order samples from another WAHM & hand them out until you figure out what is going on. If she has flaked out, I would remove the label. You paid for them & no need to waste them.
Thanks. I love the soap and we use it all the time, but the thought of using those 100 little samples ourselves makes me crazy!
I would also not send any more out. I would be afraid to take the labels off and use them as your own just for liability reasons. For example someone has a reaction to the soap, ect... you wouldn't want to be liable. You could contact the recent customers that you sent out samples to, it would just be hard on what to say.

I can imagine how upset you must be, I hope she answers your emails and at least lets you know what is going on!

I think this sounds great. And it is a nice hemp lotion, She also let me know that essential oils instead of fragrance is available!

Jennifer thats a hard one. I was reading about this on the email group and was puzzled for you and everyone else.

YOu know KAt on the congo sells tarts with your logo on it. i just ordered some LOL it is 26 pieces for 4.00 and she sells them either 2 to a pack or 1 to a pack and it looks like she bags them in cute lil bags as well...

its an inexpensive option while you wait....

Good Luck
That's really awful, I hate feeling awkward about a wahm!
I would say the freebie has no reflection on you, but if you had a link on your site or a message on your site about the freebies, I might take it down until you hear from her, then decide what to do.
I make wahm samples, and I have been late, but I always communicate.

I agree. The freebie is just that, free. You aren't responsible for follow-up traffic. I would put a note in the order if you feel like you must explain. Use them up and don't reorder.
Can someone pm me about the conga thing and the lotion samples? I couldn't find them on that site and don't know what the other one is

My opinion is this -

You paid her for the samples. Your leaving her labels on is a courtesy to her.

She did not give them to you and ask that you please include them in your packages so that you could promote her biz.

By paying for them you have the right and discretion to chose if you want to leave the labels on or remove them when including them in your packages.

If you are worried that she is not providing quality customer service, remove the label and don't lose the $$ you have spent.

If anyone inquires as to who makes the product explain to them that although it is yummy you are not sure that the WAHM is still doing business as she was when you initially purchased the product. But, that you are glad they are enjoying their goodies!

You might also want to send an email out to those that have recieved the sample with the label explaining to them what is going on.
