Please help me figure out what size prefold to get.

: My little dd fits most size M fitteds on the smallest snap setting, she's about 16 lbs, chunky thighs, short rise. I have some premium IPFs and they are WAY too big. Should I be looking for infant size, regular size, some other size??? Thanks!!

My dd is 7 months - just about 16 pounds and chunky thighs - sound familiar? :LOL Anyway, I use premium and regular cpf on her. They are long, but I counter that by folding them down a bit in the back - it distributes the bulk a little more evenly rather than having it all in the front.

the premiums and regulars are about the same size, the difference is how many layers they have(4x8x4 or 4x6x4) so if the premiums are too big then the regulars will be too so you could go for the infants, or you could find a fold that works.

If you use pockets a lot then the infants would probably be a good idea because they fit so well in pocket diapers.

I started cd'ing when my dd was about the same size ...I bought premiums ...WAY too huge and took FOREVER for her to grow into ... she was over 1 year old before they fit well ... I say go with the premiums if you want them to fit for a long time and don't mind the bubble butt for the next while ... but really the Infant's will probably fit better right now.

Yep, you'll be able to squeeze her into infants for a few more months but I really like my regulars on Nathan. They are a lot less bulky than premiums in my oppinion but will definitely last longer than regulars and I can actually get them around his waist! lol I'd go with regulars but infants would work too.
