So, a few questions for you lovely ladies. This is my first month charting while trying to conceive. Need to pick the brains for you lovelies.

Day 16, got crosshairs after a slow 3 day rise in temp. (Confirmed cycle day 19)
Day 20, dip in temp and crosshairs removed...I was really confused.
Why the dip after ovulation? Is this common?

Second bit, I took my temperature twice this morning and I'm not sure which to use. They both put crosshairs back onto my chart, at the same place as before Cycle day 16.

I took the first temp at 5:00am when my husband got up, when I normally take it at 5:45am. It read, 36.38.
Then I took it again at 5:45 out of curiosity more than anything, and it read 36.71. I was sleeping again between 5:00-5:45am.

I have put the 5am temp on my chart for now. What would you do? Either way it gave crosshairs back...

Thank you so much.

If its common for you, yes its common. I tend to get one at 5dpo.

I would put the first temp on. You need a solid 3 hours or more of sleep before temping. So the 5:45am temp wouldn't be eligible.

Sometimes, FF puts dashed lines when they think you've ovulated, then it changes. As you can see, because your temp went back up, they still confirmed O and put the CH back on. Usually if they're dashed, it means FF isn't quite sure and needs more temps and solid lines means they're pretty sure.

One temp doesn't mean much, it's the temps altogether that mean something. So the little dip might not mean anything. Sometimes there will be a dip in the LP that could be an implantation dip, which occurs around 7-10 DPO.

Your chart looks great to me!

I wouldn't know if it is common, my first month officially charting my temperatures. Thanks for sharing your experience with a dip.

Thank you for BOTH your amazing replies. I thought the first one too. Specially since I saw the temp rocket to 36.71....that is pretty high for me.
I do know that one temp doesn't mean a thing, but thank you for reminding me. It is hard when the lovely red bold lines vanish.

Too early for implant dip, but good to know for next time.

Thanks for the positive words on my chart, I feel pretty proud of it!
