Oh man. I tell you, I'm just getting sick of being sick.

Today, once again, I woke up after a weird night's sleep at 6am with a fever of 100. It's now about 101 - if I don't move at all.

I have been sick now, more on than off since the beginning of March. I feel like I have the immune system of a child. Aurora has been sick too - but not even as sick as me. Devin's not been so bad, and Harry seems to have weathered the sicknesses with just a day or so of light cold.

Right now I am sitting here in my dressing gown, shivering, feeling sad and p*ssed off - yet again, right around O time, I am sick. I got a 1 week reprieve and then this... Started feeling bad yesterday but this is a kick in the butt. I called in sick to work too.

Man I feel ill. My brain isn't working and when I walk about, the floor is sloping...feels like I'm falling over all the time. Plus, my ankle joints and my chest joints and my arm joints and my back and my hips just ache... The bottom of my calves and my forearms are tight and are killing me... My neck is out of whack and I feel emotionally blah.

Has anyone else here experienced a time in their lives where they've just been sick, non stop? I think it's because of work stress honestly...I've felt so totally depressed about work. Usually though, my immune system is stellar - I get this sick about once a year. This time it's been weeks and weeks and weeks...

Tried to make an appointment with the doc but they're full 'til Friday, so I got off the phone and cried my eyes out. I'm sure that was the fever.

Anyway, gals, thanks for letting me vent. I think I may have to just go and watch TV now because I don't seem to be very good at moving about. Maybe I'll take the laptop with me....

*HUGE but rather ill hugs*, your normally so positive friend, Jay XXXXXX

I'm sorry Jay.
It's very frustrating, I know.

I'm smack dab in the middle of one of those spells right now. I had a cold when I found out I was pregnant (2/12). Then I got a cold sore which caused a lymph node infection, then I got an ear infection, then I had some dainty bits issues thanks to 2 rounds of antibiotics, then I still had an ear infection, then I had 2 cavities filled, then I still had an ear infection, and then I came down with the high-fever-mild-cold virus that my kiddos had. The only time I've been *healthy* in the past 2 months was the weekend of our loss, which laid me up for other reasons.

It gets very frustrating. I have no doubt that mine was due to pregnancy - or my body trying so hard to hang on to a non-viable pregnancy that it had nothing left in it to fight everything else. Or something. Who knows.

What I do know is that it sucks. It puts such a damper on TTCing and is a real spirit-killer.
I'll pass the vitamin C in hopes that we both get better soon!

Thanks Monica and Shannon *HUGS*

I think I will just chug that vitamin C and maybe make some RRL and Red Clove tea
Maybe that will help. I just want to not be so weary... I am giving in my notice at work on Friday, so maybe quitting that stressful place will help.

I'm so sorry to hear you're still feeling crappy, Jay. Stress can definitely have a lot to do with it. Definitely take the afternoon off, get some rest and stay stocked up on those vitamins. From what you've shared about your job and your work environment, I definitely think giving your notice is going to help. *hugs* I hope you are feeling better very, very soon!

so sorry Jay!

you are such a positive force here it makes me sad to hear you down but so glad you can vent!
i know that feeling of "will i ever feel better?" when you've been bogged down by a whopper of a bug, but you will get better! it sounds like between work and ttc you've got a lot of stresses! have you ever used acupuncture for healing? i think it could shift some chi (energy) around for you in a really essential way to help you deal with work and readying your body for a bean.

Also i see you're in minnesota? don't underestimate the weather! some springs i feel can really drag out a sickness, both emotionally as well as physically, so maybe once it warms up for good (not this warm then cold then warm) you'll be right as rain and ready for some summertime baby-making!
Big Hugs!

oh! and btw: i quit a soul sucking job about ten years ago to go back to my art and a real creative life. it was the BEST thing i ever did! just leap and the net will appear!

I bet your body is already anticipating the break from work & is saying "finally I can let myself go". I bet you'll have a week or two of feeling the weight of letting yourself get off the crazy train of stressful work & then your body will click back into gear and good health.

((Jay Jay)) I hope you are feeling better soon. Take care!

How are you feeling today, Jay? I wanted you to know I've been thinking about you and will definitely be thinking about you tomorrow when you give your notice. I know it's a happy thing to be leaving, but I imagine you're a little stressed about it, too. *hugs*

have you tried taking extra zinc? Your immune system may be down. The other thing I do is make my kids remove their school clothes when the come home and put them right in the wash becasue they are covered in germs. and hand washing is a mantra around here...

I've been sick and sick and sicker too since my miscarriage last December. I started taking a double dose of Probiotics, and haven't been sick since (knocking really hard on wood).
