I usually have a wicked sweet tooth. It's decreased since being pregnant, but it's still there.

And today I had some spare time, so I made a cake.

I haven't even eaten half a piece and I'm already all "sugar, ewwww, too sweet, I need a huge glass of water!"

Please tell me this will go away and that someday I'll be able to have cake for dinner again and enjoy it?

I was worried about the same thing when the smell/taste/sight of coffee turned my stomach. I'm a self-confessed coffeeholic and a java snob. I practically cried at the thought of never being able to enjoy my joe ever again.
It passed. It still tastes odd, but then again, everything does right now.

I hear ya. I had a fridge full of meyer lemons I'd been saving for something special and finally had the time to make up a huge pan of lemon bars- my favorite! But then I could hardly eat any because my stomach just wasn't liking the sweet-tart flavors that I usually love. It was so sad.

My sweet tooth is also a lot shorter than it used to be! (Which isn't exactly a bad thing, really!) We celebrated a birthday for a friend today, and I could *barely* finish the half a piece of cake I served myself. It was a yummy Whole Foods berry chantilly cake, too. I think my kids ate more than I did! Of course, they were begging for more, too.

Totally feel ya! My sweet tooth has all but fallen out. Not that I was ever a big sugar nut, but I can't/don't enjoy a candy bar, brownie, cake, or even hot cocoa to keep me warm at work. My patient brought in donuts as a thank you the other night, and I had to take a big bite just for show, but the rest of it went into the trash. Sweets=Eewww or just eh.

One exception? Cola. Pepsi or Coke, idc, but I can't get enought.

Now salty, tart and sour? Bring on the pickles, kettle chips, fries and ketchup, balsamic vinegar/dressing, sauerkraut....Mmmm....

I don't have a huge sweet tooth... Pepsi is my vice though. After I have the babe, the taste will ick me out enough and I'll switch to some other pop for the time being, lol. Most of the time I get a taste for donuts, boston creme donuts to be precise... my ass would be huge if I gave into that craving every time it hits, lol.

My normally sweet tooth has taken a bit of a vacation, too! I can eat the stuff, but I don't crave it in the way I used to. I'll never get tired of ice cream.

I've always disliked the flavor (not necessarily the spiciness, but the actual flavor) of jalapenos. I just had a cheese cube with jalapeno in it, and suddenly I want to eat it all. WTF?
