I am due Dec. 1 (8 weeks 2 days pregnant today) but I am posting this for you Nov. mamas in the hopes someone else has experienced this already and can clue me in.

I was lying on the floor in my sons' room (our nightly ritual, mama lays between their two beds until they fall asleep - our latest compromise between co-sleeping and their sleeping independently
). Anyhoo -- I was laying there on my back and had just began to drift off to sleep myself when I felt a sudden, unmistakeable 'pop' (for lack of a better word) in my lower abdomen, well below my navel. It jolted me awake. There was no pain involved, it did NOT feel like gas or baby flutters or anything I have ever experienced before.

And okay, this is going to sound crazy, but I have a very retroverted uterus (always have until my babies get bigger and 'inflate' it, lol) and I was wondering if maybe it's possible it could have 'popped' up/forward just suddenly?? I just cannot imagine what could have caused it and it's driving me nuts.

TIA for any input anyone might have...

This happened to me, TWICE, while using the doppler to find the HB....it shocked me so hard that I dropped the machine. The popping was right around where my RL pain usually is...and I have a tilted uterus too...so, I have no idea what it was but it scared the CRAP outta me!
