Hi ladies, I could really use some input here as I'm in totally foreign ground.

I took a pregnancy test last Sunday, Feb whatever the last Sunday in Feb was. It was positive. Tuesday morning I had some spotting, brown blood, very light. Tuesday afternoon the bleeding got heavier and was accompanied by bad cramps. The bleeding last until just yesterday and was very heavy and very painful. I saw my doc on thurs and told him I'd had a miscarriage.
Something happened yesterday. After I peed (sorry if TMI) there was a mass in the toilet. The whole thing was about the size of a ping pong ball. It was whitish pinkish, very fatty/fleshy looking. Today pieces of the same thing are falling out of me. Could this be the baby? I assumed it would have been expelled with all the blood.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? I'm seeing my doc again on Thursday so of course I'll tell him about this, but for the time being I'm quite perplexed.

that thread was quite helpful, thank you for the link.

Whatever it was the came out of me, it wasn't red or bloody looking. It was bean shaped and thick. Smaller pieces of it are still coming out. I have no idea what it is. The possibility of polyps or anything else hadn't even entered my mind. So the link was helpful, but now I have more questions...

Oh Sage, I am soo sorry for you. I wish I could just blink and be there with you during this rough time. Imagine...two BC mamas in your hot tub with all that chocolate consoling each other. Just a bit of levity

The baby wouldn't have been distinguishable this early on so you may want to talk to your doc about other causes.

Hugs going coastal...

Aw, I wish I could blink and find us in my hottub too! Thank you for your caring and support

I didn't think the baby would be distinguishable yet, but I thought maybe the mass of cells would be. And if its not the mass of the cells that was the baby, then I have no idea what on earth it would be. I just have a hard time imagining what would be falling out of me in pieces...

I'm so sorry for your loss

In the past when I have passed endometrial tissue (uterine lining tissue), it has been grayish/pinkish looking, so it might be that.
