I am just curious about what things you do now that when you first heard about them you said you would never do.

For me it is (in this order)

Planning to bf beyond infancy
cloth wipes
no vaxing
no deo(most of the time)
mama cloth

I am now planning to use family cloth-at least for pee and No Poo when my Poo runs out.

It just strikes how much I fought going natural on some things but didn't think twice about others. I didn't really do many things naturally but when I got pregnant I just knew I wanted to CD even though NO ONE I knew did it. I also immediately started making my own cleaning products. For some reason though at the time using cloth wipes/mama cloth seemed crazy until I actually decided to do it.

Cloth TP! The first time I read about it I thought "WHAT!?? I must have read that wrong, people don't really do that." It just sounded so out there to me. Well, here we are now, a cloth TP lovin' family

I remember when it sounded strange to me to nurse a three year old. Well, here I am LOL! Actually he did just wean though.

That's all I can think of right now.

Probably cloth pads. It took me a little while to swing over to "that" side.

I can almost promise you that our family would never use family cloth. I don't want to, so if *I* don't want to, I know my family would never go for it. Besides, I have a daycare in my home, and the kids would flush it. Not to mention the heart attack it would give the health department. (that could be fun to watch though )

I never thought I would use a menstrual cup, when I first heard about it my first thoughts were, eew...but now, not a second thought. I also didn't think I could give up daily shampooing but I have made the switch to no poo.

I complained constantly growing up "when I get out of here I am going to have a bathroom, not an outhouse!" so where did I move when I did get out of there? to an outhouse, no electricity house! and yes mama reminded me of that one ALL the time

Cloth pads and cloth TP!! When I first heard of both I was totally, totally horrified and disgusted, wondering WHY would anyone do that?!

Not only that---when I was first using cloth pads I heard about cloth TP and specifically remember telling hubby how we would NEVER do that one---it was too over the top!

Well----now I wonder how anyone could use regular TP and paper feminine products.........

Isnt' it amazing what a having wee ones can do to your point of view?
Being obsessed with CDs for example. I knew I wanted to CD, but CDing seemed to be the "gateway" habit! That led to:
Only natural cleaners
Getting rid of my *very nice* teflon pans
Reusing plastic bags and aluminum foil
Storing things in glass mason jars
Cloth pads and menstrual cup for me. I NEVER thought I would use either, and now I can't imagine life without them! Cloth diapers were kind of a "bridge" for me as well

Cloth pads. I remember seeing them for sale on the CD sites and thinking, "EWWWW!!", yet...I love cloth and can't imagine ever having to go back!

I thought no shampoo was crazy...then I did the no poo for awhile and did like it. My daughter was in the hospital and I switched back, then never returned. I really need to get back into that.

Stone deoderant seems crazy...and still does, a little. I'm afraid to completely trust it. It seems more normal everyday though, so I'm guessing I'll be an addict soon

I never thought I'd stop shaving my legs. If I could somehow get seen by my 14 year old self, she would be *mortified*.

haha I said I'd never get my ears pierced. Now I have 4 piercings. Not exactly "going natural" but whatever.

I never had a problem with the cup/mama pads or cloth tp or CD. I never have shaved much either. I cook from scratch, make my own buttermilk, whey, etc. none of it ever seemed weird to me. I think I was born to be crunchy.
