Ok, first I have to say that I feel really weird posting here. My girls are 14 months old and I still can't believe they're not babies anymore, but I guess they arent. Secondly, I have to say that I have a hard time referring to children in the singular. I just don't understand the concept of having only one child at a time.

I just talked to a friend of mine who has twins the same age as mine and we were talking about what time they go to bed. Her's go to bed at 7:00 and she said that if she let them, they'd go to bed at 6:30. I just can't imagine that. So, I'm just wondering what time your toddlers go to bed?

Mine have always been pretty sleep resistant, but it's gotten much better. They now mostly sleep through the night, so I can't really complain. But they're not ready to go to bed until after 9:00 every night. Tonight they didn't go to bed until 10:00 and 10:15.

Are we the only ones nightowls?

First of all 6:30 or 7:00 PM IN MY DREAMS (sorry for the caps but all three of my kids have never gone to bed that early )

My two oldest kiddos go to bed between 8:30-9:00 (ages 4 & 5)

And my toddler 17 months goes to bed after 10 pm sometimes even 11 pm. And he sleeps in until about 8 am at the latest sometimes earlier if older brothers come in and wake us : :LOL

This is a hot topic in my house as of late....my dh and I are the most unscheduled people we know....so we have been trying REALLY HARD for the last two weeks to be more scheduled with ds....

But the sad truth is ds usually goes to bed at 9 or 10 or 11.

If we loosely stick to our new schedule he's ready for bed at 9.

My little lady is 19 months, and goes to bed around 7:15 or 7:30, and usually sleeps until 8:00 or so. All three of my kids have always been great sleepers - my six year old goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 and my eleven year old goes to bed around 8:30 or 9:00 - they both get up at 6:45 on school days.

we've been talking about this at my house too. my ds (22 months) was going to bed at 8 or 8:30 but recently he began waking up at about 2 or 3 so we thought maybe keeping up a little later might help. so now, it 9 or 9:30. so far so good. he sleeps only 'til about 6:30 though. yawn!!

We've been having some troubles here because of teething, but normally DD goes to bed around 7:00 and sleeps through until 7-8am. Last night she was ready for bed at 5:30! But a few months ago she wasn't going to sleep until between 10pm and 1am.

My daughter, who is 17 months old, goes to bed at 7pm each night and sleeps until around 7am the next morning. She comes into our bed for snuggles if she wakes up early.

It wasn't always this way. When we co-slept, she went to bed whenever we did (usually between 11pm-12am). It was just the easiest method for us. But when I went back to work, we needed a schedule of some kind, because we couldn't allow her to sleep in until 11am if she was up late the night before. I'd wake her up when I got out of bed for work, and she'd get grumpy, and wouldn't go back to sleep. DH's day was ruined because she was grumpy about being overtired. :p

We made the transition to the crib when she was around 13 months old. For the first week, I'd actually climb into the crib with her, and carefully sneak out when she fell asleep. We'd put her down whenever she started rubbing her eyes and getting sleep-grumpy. Her bedtime naturally became earlier and earlier, and she seems to have settled on 7pm. She falls asleep the moment her head hits the pillow.

I can't imagine putting her to bed any earlier than that. I get home from work around 5pm, and I'd hate to only have an hour or so to spend time with her, before putting her to bed. I need my Brynn-time as much as she needs her Mom-time.

We're sticklers to a schedule too, Connor is down between 8-8:30. He's up in the morning between 5:30-6:30. If we vary it he has trouble sleeping not only at night but also during the day and he's an emotional mess.

He also has night terrors and if he doesn't get enough sleep, it's a nightmare for all of us.

My dd goes to bed at 7-7:30, depending on how early my dh gets home. We were putting her to bed later, but she was having a hard time falling asleep, she seemed wired. So, we kept moving it up 15 minutes until we found 7-7:30 works best. It is great having a couple hours to ourselves inthe evenings, but it is also hard on the weekends when people invite us to do things. If the IL's can't watch her, then we have a hard time doing things.

Haley is 2 and usually falls asleep around 8:30. If she has a late or exceptionally long nap it will be around 9 or 9:30 and if she has no nap it may be around 7:30 or 8. No matter what time she goes to bed she gets up at the same time every day...7:30

DD usually goes to bed between 945 and 1045-we aren't on a schedule, never have been and she usually sleeps til about 8-830am. She does tend to try to stay up earlier when her dad is home...which is slightly annoying!!!

She's in bed most nights by 7:30. She's been going to bed at that time for over half of her 26 months of life.
We are morning people. She fell into that on her own, but it fits well. We are (we think!) prepared for the next one to be a night owl.

DS goes to bed around 9pm.

I remember my parents used to make me go to sleep when it was still light out in the summer and I could hear my friends still playing outside. I vowed to never do that to my children.

ds goes to bed everynight between 7 and 7:30 and wakes up around 7a, though usually we get him between 5 and 6a and bring him into our bed. It's a schedule that he made himself and if i try to keep him up later it generally backfires.

if we go to friends houses in the evening, we'll bring the pack and play and put him down there. He usually handles the transfer and short car ride pretty well.

Dd goes to sleep between 7:00 and 7:30. This was her choosing, not mine! If she stays up later, she has trouble sleeping through the night, and she's up earlier in the morning (like 4:45). If we stick to her schedule she sleeps until dh opens the garage door in the morning (usually around 6:30 or 7:00).

My DD goes to bed at about 7:00 and sleeps until about 6:30. Bedtime ranges anywhere between about 6:30 and 7:30, depending on how her day went.
