Or even in the twin cities? I am willing to drive a bit.

I have a 2yo daughter and am looking to get away and have fun with her doing something unusual. All I can think of is something like the zoo, or a kids museum.

Can you help me think of something else?

I'm planning a getaway tomorrow, but am also collecting ideas for the future.

Thanks!

Not sure exactly where you are, but the first things that come to mind are around me--just south of the twin cities. Emma Krumbees (in Belle Plaine) has scarecrows you can go look at--also apples, pumpkins, etc. Down the road a bit, you can go to Sponsel's apple orchard--they have wagon rides, apple picking, face painting, goats to pet, etc.

We live in the citites, adn our favorite things to do with our young childern include going to como zoo. It is free and open all winter long.

We also just let them play at 2 yrs, but I have found that be 3 they need some structure and activites. Other ideas are indoor playgrounds. There are a lot avaiable at fast food restarunts, bu t there are also others owned by communities and school districts. The Eagle's nest in the New Brighten community center is great. And the swimming pool/park indoors at Shoreview community center is also great fun. They have a nice shallow play area for youngster.
