Well here i go. I got lots of new wool covers and fitted diapers that were great for the summer. SP, SOS, Toot Sweet, and bikini cut cuddlebuns. They were great when I didn't have to put pants over them. But what do I do in the winter. Are there pants that fit over those diapers. DD is so petite she will just look so funny with such a big bottom. What do you all do? I just bought so many new diapers, and I don't have enough HH's and FB to last me through the winter.
Any suggestions?
I use a bikini cut cuddlebuns or SOS w/ bumpy pul cover. Not the wool. I think that pul covers or pull on nylon covers are pretty trim. I have not had to size up on pants, and they fit just fine!!!

Wool pants work great in Michigan, but not in Tel-Aviv Stretchy pants look really funny small body big midsection bubble all the way around on dd. I should take a picture just to show you how ridiculous she looks.

I have a pair of pants from Elbee that would probably be good hmmm. If I order now I would probably get it in time for winter! Winter starts here in November - December.

a size up in pants, I also made my son four pairs of pants that are bigger in the seat of the pant. They are great! I have seen some of the commercial clothing for babies that are so narrow in the butt that it does not even look like a sposie would fit under there let alone a cloth diaper! I usually buy my sons pants that are a size bigger made from sweatshirt fleece so it stretchs. I do not like jeans for small children as they look so uncomfortable to me. If I could wear my pj's all day I would.

There was a post a few weeks back- I am sure you were not on then- but it said that Lands End has great cloth dipe butt clothes. And dresses!!! My girl will not be walking yet in the winter so, I have to find pants for her! I also live in Michigan so wool pants would be great here- and where I live we get snow in Nov. so I better get my butt moving!

How about one piece outfits such as long legged/sleeved rompers? They look more comfy than seperate pants/shirts and have snaps for easy diaper changes.

I'm partial to dresses and overalls myself! We kinda have the opposite problem right now... ds is so skinny he needs a big clothie to hold his old navy jeans on! We usually put him in overalls though.

Dd is tall, so has been in the skinnier butt clothes for a while. I have to buy a size three, put extra elastic in the waist and hem them!

I will check out the gap, and get my mom knitting me some wooly pants for the new baby.

I love the big butt though, she will look like a baby for a little while longer.

I'm also a big fan of overalls. They hide DS's huge cd bum and he doesn't end up looking like a pear.
