Ok so I have around 12 heads of beautiful organic red leaf lettuce. Now what? I mean it is only dh & I and I have already given quite a few away. I hate to waste any of it-meaning I'd rather eat most of it then have to toss it in the compost, cuz it went bad.<br><br>
Ideas?? Storage options? Recipes?

lots and lots of salads! you could also use them as a sandwich wrap.

I've used lettuce shredded in soups, in place of other greens, and nobody had a problem with it.<br><br>
There are probably meals that go over a bed of lettuce. My mother used to make what she called Millionaire Chicken, which was diced chicken in a dressing that contained sesame, all over lettuce. I hated it, but everyone else loved it. Sometimes I make ground beef patties, shaped like burgers but I spice them up and fry them on the stove, and then I put them on top of a bed of lettuce and pour the pan juices to wilt it.
