Hope is 4 and has tonsillitis at the moment, I'm not sure what to expect.

On Thursday she didn't eat her lunch due to a sore throat, Friday she had a fever in the evening.

I've been giving her the Udo's Super 5 raspberry probiotic lozenges and having her gargle with Tahitian Noni juice twice daily as it is a known anti-flammatory and analgesic. Both have helped ease the pain

Her tonsils are still inflamed but mostly aren't hurting her. She doesn't have any signs of strep throat (white pus and awful odour) so that's good.

I kept her home from school as upon waking up she kept coughing and coughing but nothing came up. She has had a lot of chest congestion for the past few days as well.

I've been giving her cough syrup throughout the day, had her rest and applied a noni poultice to her chest to hopefully help get the mucus out.

Hope just had strep throat 2 months ago for the first time. We did the whole antibiotic thing then this time I want to be sure before giving her antibiotics needlessly.

Aviva Romm says strep throat is caused by exhaustion so I'm trying to focus on regular bedtimes and hopefully we won't be dealing with this issue again soon.

What do you think I should do?
