We found out Tuesday that we're having a girl in October!!!
:

So now I'm trying to decide what to knit. I live in the South but it does get cold here from November-March. I know I'll knit an easy-peasy and some booties. What else should I attempt? I'm itching to start something sweet!! Thanks for any suggestions!!

I knitted each of my daughters their very own sweater. One was a pullover, the other was a cardigan. They both saw a lot of use! With all the new clothes they were gifted, they never seemed to get a light jacket or sweater for when it was cool. Mind you, I live up North here but both my girls were summer babies. A sweater is needed in AC!

This pattern was so easy. Fran's Hooded Baby Sweater. I used a different color for the hood and then crocheted an edge with the body color on the hood. It was adorable.

Have fun finding a project! And knit as much as you can now.

I'm going to be starting some longies w/ in the next few weeks. We're in VA and even though it doesn't get frigid like it does in the northeast, it still gets cold enough for longies!!!

Anouk is the sweetest girl pattern I think I've ever seen. Unfortunately all my friends persist in having boys, so I haven't had the chance to knit it yet.

There's also the Miss Dashwood hat in Knitty, which is absolutely darling.

I knit the monkey knits seed stitch cardigan while pregnant with my daughter.

I knit her Anouk, which she still wears - love it.

Lots of hats, some with frilly edges ; )

I designed & knit her a dress because I had a hard time finding one I liked a lot.

Skirts are easy to wing, too.
