I keep thinking about how vaccines have allowed drug companies to corner the market on germs we might actually want our kids to encounter. I also keep thinking "what if I don't do the MMR and then my DD doesn't get measles, mumps, whatever until adulthood, and then it's BAAAD!".

So I guess the question is actually two questions - Do you want your kids to get a list of VPDs? Do you actually expect them to get any?

I expect chicken pox, and wouldn't be surprised by measles, mumps, or pertussis. Flu seems unavoidable around here also.

I figure there's a good chance of getting:
chickenpox
rotavirus
rubella
mumps
pertussis

possible to run across
measles

Not worried about any of them. Would like to get chickenpox and rubella...

You can come to the UK if you want measles, plenty of it here since the MMR scare. Also plenty of chickenpox because varicella vaccine is not given.
