I just joined Curves and have done two workouts. The first day I felt hungry about 15 minutes into the workout then weak. Today I felt woozy and wanted to throw up. So I think I am not eating the right things before or the right time before an intense workout.

What do you eat before you workout? How many minutes before working out do you eat?

(also an FYI- I can't eat dairy, eggs or peanuts- my son has fatal food and contact allergies so those foods are not in our house).

Thanks!

I had a banana this morning about 20-30 minutes before I worked out. I did get a little urpy for about 10 seconds at one point, but other than that I think it really helped. I wasn't starving and dying and I wasn't too full either.

I eat a banana about 15 minutes before most workouts which for me are first thing in the am. This means that other than the banana my stomach is generally empty. It gives me the energy I need without upsetting my stomach.

Bananas are great for pre-workout fuel. If I'm working out in the morning, I almost always eat the same breakfast...a yogurt smoothie, banana, and a luna bar. That combination is enough to get me through just about any type of workout.
