We have a medical missions child. She is here from Africa and living with us until she is treated, healed and ready to go back home to her family as a healthy little girl! She is 3 yrs old (in July) and apparently nursed until she left for the US.

I have a 3 yr old adopted daughter who was unable to latch, but I did pump for her for 2 yrs. However, that shop has long since closed.

So she kneeds me like a kitten pressing on my breasts and groping me regularly. However, since her surgery she is trying to crawl up my shirt. I have thought about letting her nurse to see its empty, but I am thinking she wants comfort more than anything.

Do you have thoughts/suggestions? Ideas for other comfort methods? How would you handle it?

Thanks

Our organization only brings the children, not the families. If we paid for a parent then its one less child we can afford to bring for treatment. We currently have 23 kids in the US.

I may give it a whirl tonight when its dark and the nurses are gone for awhile.

Thanks

If you were discovered, could you face employment/legal trouble for allowing her to nurse? Certainly the rest of the world is full of less informed, in tune, and understanding people than this forum is... It would just be heartbreaking for you to get in trouble for tying to help.
