I use mostly pfds on my 12ish pound 3 month old. We are using Thirsties premium infants and they are starting to get a little snug. I want to stick with prefolds for a while (nice and cheap
and I am thinking about getting the Green Mt Rainbow shorts as the next size. I am going to make a few fitteds also but we'll see how that goes.
Does getting the Rainbow shorts sound like a good plan? Do they fit well under BSWW?

Thanks!

I would like to get a couple BG 2.0 pockets but don't have the cash right now.

I haven't used the rainbow shorts - I went straight from the GMD infant (green edge) prefolds to the Regular (white edge). I would think the rainbows fit under Bummis. All the prefolds I've ever used have fit under Bummis. Sometimes I've just folded down any excess. Works great. I love Bummis and prefolds from Green Mountain Diapers.

Yes, the rainbow shorts work great under a BSWW. It sounds like a great plan to me!!
I like the look of the rainbow shorts, my only concern would be babe outgrowing the rise (I guess that's why I never trimmed any of my prefolds LOL) If you think you will get lots of use out of them, I would definitely get them, if you are afraid of outgrowing the rise, I would go with regulars or premiums

My experience only as I know all babies are different:
My dd outgrew infants at about 3 or 4 mos old and she is now 20 mos wearing the rainbow shorts. That is about 16 mos in this size and I don't see her outgrowing them too soon unless she hits a huge growth spurt. I wish that the rainbows were available when she out grew her infants, becasue I never have liked turning down the dipe when she was wearing premiums before the rainbows were available. My dd is small so I know that this is not everyones experience.
